Alta Vista de Boracay and a visit to Puka Beach

It has been three long years since we've been back to our favorite place in the world, the beautiful island of Boracay.  I knew we needed to go back soon.  Last August 2015, I was fortunate to win a 3 days/2 nights hotel accommodation with daily breakfast at Alta Vista de Boracay during the Pine-Sol event.  So, when I had a clearer view of my schedule, we booked plane tickets from Philippine Airlines via Kalibo, which we got at an inexpensive rate of Php 3,500.00 per person (round trip).

Mickey and I have never been to Alta Vista de Boracay, so this is definitely a first for us.  The hotel is located in Barangay Yapak and is near Puka Beach and Shangri-La Boracay Resort & Spa.  Though it may not be located in the famous 4 kilometer beach line.  There are many reasons why we love it here.

Quick hotel review (Studio):
  • It is located in a secured area where there is only one entry and exit point with security guards manning the property.
  • We are booked in a Studio (published room rate for a Studio room at Alta Vista de Boracay is Php 3,500 per night), which has a spacious 45 sq.m. interior space not to mention a private balcony where you can catch a glimpse of the sea and the mountains.
  • Customer service is at it's best.  During our stay, we met a lot of hotel employees and we are impressed at the high level of customer service.  One employee we cannot forget is Tin-Tin who was stationed at the dining area.  She was very pleasant, always with a ready smile and was always very attentive to our needs.  The Alta Vista van drivers and dispatchers were also consistently providing high levels of customer service which brings us to think that the employees here really has a culture of excellent customer service.
  • It takes about 20 minutes to get to d'mall from Alta Vista de Boracay but the good thing is, there is a shuttle schedule every hour to and from d'mall where they have their exclusive special pick-up point with benches for their guests.  The best thing is that this service is provided absolutely for free.
  • Puka Beach is about 5 minutes away from Alta Vista de Boracay, just have a schedule reservation at least an hour before at the concierge for your departure and pick up time.  Latest pick-up at Puka Beach is at 5:00 p.m.  The van service to and from Puka Beach is free as well.
  • Since the property is located on a high elevation, it is breezy most of the time.
  • Designed by world renowned architect Jun Palafox (an urban planning expert)
  • My ultimate favorite reason why we love it here is that, it's quiet and peaceful here.
Here are some photos during our recent stay at Alta Vista de Boracay and a visit to Puka Beach:

We stayed at The Galatea cluster

Our Studio has amenities such as air conditioning, cable television, coffee/tea maker, a mini bar, a refrigerator, two queen-sized beds, a safe, telephone, private toilet and bath and a private balcony.

The best thing while on vacation is room service.  We have our lunch set-up at the balcony most of the time.

This is Tin Tin, if you see her, please tell her I said "Hi!"

We also visited Puka Beach

It was picture perfect, a bit windy and the waves made it quite a challenge for us to swim.  So we stayed near the shore most of the time.

Blending in!

Our Alta Vista de Boracay stay was short but sweet.  But if you shall ask us, "Will you come back again?"  Our answer is, a resounding "yes!"
