Shelter + GIGI Coffee and Cupcakes

I knew just by looking at the design aesthetic of Shelter that this is my kind of store.

Shelter is a home and design store at the newly opened East Wing of Shangri-la Mall.  Inside, you'll find well curated finds for the home such as designer throw pillows, luxury home fragrances, designer notebooks and note cards, hardcover design books, black and white framed photos, custom-made furniture and beautiful things for the person who loves to entertain.

Now, here's a concept that I love:  In-store dining.  I wish a lot of stores would do this.  A small cafe in the middle of the store makes you want to linger.  While having coffee, your eyes wander some more and before you know it, you're buying something again before you leave (smile).

You can choose from the many cupcake flavors to have with your coffee or tea

Mickey and I lingered more than the usual and dreamt about a beach house we can fill with beautiful finds from Shelter.
