The weekend that was: A Merry Mall of Asia Christmas

Every year Mickey goes to the Manila Auto Salon Show (It's a car show).  This year, the venue was at the SMX Convention Center.  Since it's just beside Mall of Asia, I am tagging along, not to the show (it's a guy thing) but to go to Uniqlo to get 2 pairs of jeans which I badly need at the moment (A few weeks ago, Mickey gave me Sodexho GCs which I can use at Uniqlo, so this shopping trip is on him).  Nice!

As I entered Mall of Asia's Main Atrium, it has transformed into a child's fantasy dream come true.  The Atrium is filled with giant robots, ballerinas, toys and presents!  Not to miss is the huge 50-foot Christmas tree with multi-tiered gears that spin simultaneously.

Booths can be found beneath the Christmas tree where families and friends can have their photos taken for that yearly holiday photo.

Well, hello Uniqlo!  I really love shopping here.  The staff are approachable and helpful.
If you travel to cold places, it would be a good time to stock on Uniqlo's Heattech, Ultra Light Down, Heattech Micro Fleece and Fleece products.

I absolutely love how comfortable their Easy Knit Leggings Pants are.  I bought my first pair when they opened in June, and it's still my favorite now.  Coming for more today (c/o Mickey).

When you purchase Uniqlo pants worth PHP 990, the alteration service is free

I tried their alteration service for the first time and it was good to know that I can get my pants in 15 minutes (waiting time varies and depends on the amount of alterations being done during the day, I came in early, so it was fast).

After going around the mall, checking out the stores and buying some things we need for the house.  I had a latte at Illy, surfed a bit (SM MOA has free wi-fi) and people-watched while waiting for Mickey.  I noticed the shopping bags carried by shoppers were mostly Uniqlo and Forever 21, that's some major ka-ching for both global brands!

When Mickey arrived, we had dinner at Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe for the first time.
I ordered No. 959 - HK Steamed Chinese Sausage 'N' Mushroom Bamboo Rice.

Mickey ordered No. 990 - Yau Ma Tei Special Sauce Chicken Rice

We shared the dimsum:
No. 401 siew mai (or siomai) and No. 402 steamed spareribs with black beans

We both had No. 768 - a medium-sized carafe of lime juice.
Walking around Mall of Asia is exhausting!  Haha!

I just love the fresh lime juice!
Now, I know where I can stop for drinks on my next MOA trip :)

When we finished having dinner at 7:00 pm we headed outside to watch the fireworks display.

Here's something we missed though - The Grand Festival of Lights Parade that started at 5:30 pm.  If you haven't seen this yet, you can still catch the Parade on December 8, 15, 22 and 25.
