The Coca-Cola company empowers women micro-entrpreneurs and improves lives through the 5by20 program

Women micro-entrepreneurs form an integral part of a community.  They are determined to succeed, they do not compromise quality, they are very detailed and they do business on a personal level.  Which, really is sometimes what a business needs, to soften the normally more serious side of it.

It is a good thing that The Coca-Cola company supports micro-entrepreneurs through their 5by20 program.  5by20 is the Coca-Cola company's global commitment to enable the economic empowerment of 5 million women entrepreneurs across the company's value chain by 2020.

The small businesses that the Coca-Cola company works with and the women micro-entrpreneurs behind these flourishing businesses (from fruit farmers to artisans to vendors) will undergo 12 weeks of business skills training, have access to  financial services and connections with peers or mentors, enabling them to overcome barriers to business success.

Here's a glimpse of the 5by20 program by the Numbers

Hats off to the Coca-Cola company and their 5by20 program for women micro-entrepreneurs!  May your businesses grow, flourish and bloom!
