Nostalgic Magnolia Ice Cream House

While looking for a restaurant to have dinner in at the newly opened Robinsons Magnolia, Mickey and I were walking at the al fresco dining area and saw a glimpse of a familiar logo.  It was a Magnolia Flavor House!

It's built in the same lot where Magnolia operated an ice cream parlor at their plant from the 1930s until the 1990s where they served their banana splits, sundaes and parfaits to customers.

They serve salads, appetizers, pastas, sandwiches, entrees, burgers, pizzas  and of course, the ice cream we have grown up with.

We ordered a Banana Split to share!

The colorful interiors

Love the retro furniture from Space Encounters!

Our Banana split arrives!  It is still served the way we want it - simple.  I guess we come here for the desserts that sends us back in time.  We even remembered their mascot, Howie!  Too bad I can't find a photo online.  But I can remember he looks like a cloud, haha!

Magnolia's staff shares with us his creation. I love that they were game for a photo!

For a trip down memory lane, drop by Magnolia Flavor House at UG KL 208 Robinsons Magnolia, Aurora Blvd. corner Dona Hemady, New Manila Quezon City.
