Sanso Classics

Internationally renowned artist Juvenal Sanso revisits his earlier and best known themes - landscapes, seascapes and floral paintings in his forthcoming show Sanso Classics.

A renowned painter, Juvenal Sanso graduated from the University of the Philippines, College of Fine Arts. His contemporaries are National Artists Jose Joya, Federico Aguilar Alcuaz and Napoleon Abueva and his professors were National Artists Fernando Amorsolo and Guillermo Tolentino.

His works are represented in the collections of some 40 museums around the world including the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the San Fransisco Museum, The Art Institute of Chicago, The Cleveland Museum of Art, the Smithsonian Institute, the Museum d'Arte Moderne in Paris, the Rosenwald National Gallery of Washington and the Cultural Center of the Philippines. His collectors include the Rothschild Family, Nelson Rockefeller, Vincent Price, Elsa Schiaperelli, Jean Cocteau and many prominent American, European and Filipino Families.

With rare artworks culled from the artist's studio on canvas and on paper, Sanso Classics is a much anticipated revisit of these favorite themes.  The exhibit runs from:
